Founded in 1997, MCC Contractors is a family-owned civil construction and vegetation services business based in Denmark, WA. We’ve evolved from forestry to full-scope infrastructure, supporting councils, agencies and contractors with services that span roads, culverts, fire mitigation, disaster response and transport. Our team combines deep local knowledge, certified systems, and owned fleet with the values of a regional business that cares about results and relationships.
We deliver full-scope road construction packages including culverts, drainage, base prep and asphalt across government and council programs.
From driveways to kerbing and footpaths, we deliver shire maintenance and small projects professionally, safely and on time.
We manage roadside clearing, firebreaks, slashing and mulching to help reduce risk and maintain public access safely.
We transport plant, equipment and materials to job sites with our own fleet and drivers, giving us total control of logistics.
We mobilise fast to restore flood-damaged infrastructure, clear roads and support fire and storm recovery programs.
We provide site crews, haulage, vegetation and earthworks for Tier 1 and 2 contractors delivering remote and regional infrastructure.

The Shire of Plantagenet required the replacement of the existing Hay River crossing on Eulup-Manurup Road to ensure the continued safety and reliability of this important regional transport route. The existing structure had reached the end of its service life and required complete reconstruction to improve flood resilience and long-term performance. The project presented several challenges, including working within a live watercourse environment, managing groundwater and surface water flows, implementing environmental controls, and coordinating multiple civil construction activities in a regional location while minimising disruption to the surrounding community.
MC Civil Contractors partnered with the Shire of Plantagenet to deliver a complete bridge and culvert replacement solution. The works included site establishment, service identification and relocation, dewatering, temporary river bypass construction, demolition of the existing crossing, installation of a new reinforced concrete culvert structure, pavement reconstruction, scour protection works and the installation of Main Roads WA compliant safety barriers. Leveraging our experienced project team, extensive civil construction expertise and modern plant fleet, MC Civil Contractors efficiently managed all aspects of the project while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and quality assurance.
MC Civil Contractors successfully delivered a modern, resilient crossing that will provide long-term benefits to the Shire of Plantagenet and the local community. The completed infrastructure improves flood performance, enhances road user safety and ensures reliable access throughout the region. Through careful planning, strong stakeholder engagement and a commitment to quality workmanship, the project was delivered as a durable infrastructure asset designed to support the Shire's transport network well into the future.
